SG 01. Responsible investment policy

PT Bina Investama Infonet is an Institutional Investment Advisor with license from OJK (Financial Service Authority). Our core business are Data, News & Media, and Advisory Service. At the moment our focus is in B2B area through our Data and Advisory Service offerings. Our Data provide our clients with information relating to Capital Market Sector which are composed of Mutual Funds, Stocks, Fundamental Data, Macro-Economic Data, Unit-linked, and Bonds. Pasardana is also providing tools for clients to keep track on their portfolio and export it as Reports. The users of the portfolio management tools range from pension funds to insurance companies. Our Advisory Service mainly deals with assessing the clients' investments or plans on particular assets. Our News and Media report on latest news on Indonesian Capital Market sector.

Our goals are to provide our clients with accurate capital market information and unbiased assesments. We believe greater access to accountable information will allow not only our Institutional clients, but also general public to take more informed investment decisions. Better investment decision will improve the flow of capital to well deserving companies. At the moment the information is mostly focused on performance, but in the future ESG-related information will also play major parts because rising awareness in sustainable development.

Learning from Indonesian capital market instability in Q4 2019, we increased our effort to push for more transparency in Indonesian mutual fund industry through dialogs with our client base and fellow investment advisors.

At the moment we still have yet to incorporate ESG factors and RI-consideration as we are still learning about the matters. However we will inform our clients if there is some transparency issue in the target company especially which relates to Prospectus and Fund Factsheet publications.

We are still studying on how we could implement it on our business model. However we are developing a tools which will help our clients to discover if there is a transparency issue in an investment manager.

We have requesting the Financial Service Authority to push the fund managers to be more transparent in dsclosing their portfolio holdings.

The failure of Indonesian FSA to act relating to this issue have prove disastrous when the mutual fund industry rocked by scandals on Q4 2019.
