          We have adopted the FTSE Russell ESG Ratings process for purposes of the FTSE/JSE Responsible Investment Index Series and related data offering.

06.1. Describe how you ensure your assessment of companies is up-to-date and that new information is incorporated or new assessments are conducted at reasonable intervals.

          Eligible JSE companies have been incorporated into annual assessment cycle for FTSE ESG Ratings process. JSE maintains contact with eligible companies to ensure that timeline of assessment is aligned with the relevant company's own reporting cycle so that the assessment process achieves capturing of most recent public data.
FTSE/JSE Responsible Investment Index Series operates in terms of set ground rules to ensure regular reviews and publication of index change advices.

JSE provides feedback to FTSE on changes to the extent that it is able to influence the process, however we are comfortable that FTSE conducts extensive research and consultation in achieving a balanced methodology.
