SG 07. RI roles and responsibilities

07.2. For the roles for which you have RI oversight/accountability or implementation responsibilities, indicate how you execute these responsibilities.

Trecento AM has set up an ESG committee that includes all its fund managers (of which the CEO and CIO) and (extra-)financial analysts. The ESG committee implements and monitors the responsible investment policies of the management company. In this role, it ensures that the ESG incorporation and analysis models are audited and controlled (by the compliance officer and its delegates), are updated and implemented according to the rules and processes described in the publicly available RI policies of the company and to the legal documentation of the investment funds.

The role of the ESG committee is also to rule on investment decisions concerning controversial issuers, ESG scores and the ESG scoring model as well was the best way to improve and develop it.

On a daily basis, the chief investment officer of Trecento AM ensures that the extra-financial analysis performed by the fund managers and analysts follows the RI guidelines set up by the ESG committee and that the ESG models are efficacely populated. Its role is also to monitor the extra-financial performance of the investment funds and trigger corrective actions when ESG ratios are breached.

The CEO and CIO of Trecento AM are members of the ESG committee that implements and monitors the responsible investment policies of the management company. Part of the role of the ESG committee is to assess the type of environmental data and indicators that will be analysed in the issuers' ESG model, based on the organisation-wide strategy regarding the climate change and the energy transition.

Trecento AM is increasingly focused on responsible investment and two of its investment funds are following a Socially Responsible Investment strategy. Such a focus implies a training of the financial analysts and fund managers that is done by attending seminars or conference on ESG and RI. It also implies that RI objectives need to be included in the yearly development plan of the fund managers & analysts and to be monitored in the annual appraisal process.
