INF 05. Incorporating ESG issues when selecting investments

05.1. 組織がインフラ投資先を選択する際、通常、ESG問題を組み入れているかどうかを記載してください。

05.2. ESG問題をインフラ投資の選択に組み入れる際のアプローチを説明してください。

Initial Screening: During the preliminary screening process, potential infrastructure investments are screened for appropriate governance models, compliance with organization-wide exclusions and significant negative control rights. The AIMCo Infrastructure team duly considers environmental factors and any related environmental or social risks that may negatively impact future investment valuations.

Due Diligence: Due diligence advisors are engaged to review and report on potential infrastructure investments. ESG factors are usually covered in detailed due diligence work streams to help the investment deal team develop a clear understanding of potential ESG risks. Specifically, our investment team will retain environmental advisors, regulatory advisors, financial/accounting, legal advisors and our internal Responsible Investment team, and considers any ongoing stakeholder issues in its due diligence.
