Our annual engagement plan and priorities are reviewed each year by our Board and Trustees and approved by our Executive Committee. Our Fund investors are informed through annual reports, webinars, presentations, quarterly updates and newsletters. We also regularly update our Board of Directors through quarterly-reported dashboards on ESG/CRI activity, outcomes, and progress.
Proxy voting guidelines are amended on an as-needed basis. Screening criteria is discussed in-house, typically on a bi-annual basis. New issues connected to our existing screening criteria are discussed as-needed.
Public policy engagement priorities typically take place on an ad-hoc basis. They are determined by:
- How engagement on policy or disclosure regulations might affect our overall active ownership priorities;
- Where our colleagues and CBIS might have an opportunity to move public policy that assists our goals; or
- Opportunities to improve the market transparency and reporting consistency of ESG issues.
