          Our custodian monitors our investment mandates and compliance with the mandate. We have also appointed FactSet to strengthen this monitoring.
        

Describe how responsible investment is incorporated

          Our investment consultant works with us to understand and clarify our ESG investment beliefs and objectives. They draw on their experience as advisers to both superannuation and non-superannuation entities and their own governance, advice, risk, decision and strategy teams to assist in our development of investment philosophy and policies. They formally research and report on ESG matters across all major asset classes on at least an annual basis with sector reports including observations from sector specialists on ESG developments.

          The investment consultant has developed a portfolio analytics system which includes development of a climate change module. This assists clients in considering environmental issues in the portfolio at the strategic asset allocation level. The climate change module specifically aims to better understand the potential impacts of climate change on investment portfolios with regard to the return impacts of different but plausible scenarios.
        

Describe how responsible investment is incorporated

          The investment consultant considers and explores ESG issues and examines new and existing investment opportunities. They have conducted surveys of international equities and infrastructure managers to establish the state of their understanding of ESG and how it has evolved. They have also undertaken research or written thought pieces on governance issues. They also draw on research conducted by dedicated researchers within broking firms, funds management, third-party providers of research, industry associations and academia.
