The appointment and monitoring of third-parties is adapted according to the type of project and third parties considered.

For instance, ESG policies are requested and screened for maintenance operators.

For greenfield operations, ESG criteria and provisions requested by public operators are directly transferred and applied to third parties.

For brownfield operations, if additional sub-contracts are deemed necessary, ESG considerations are integrated in selection criteria on a case-by-case basis.

The contribution of third-party operators to the management of ESG issues is really linked to the type of project considered : environmental and social objectives are often part of the contracts, for instance :

- for renewable energy projects, third-party operators like engineering offices can directly contribute to fauna monitoring (birds, bats…),
- third-party can re-employ local staff and therefore contribute under a back-to-back obligation,
- third parties can contribute to energy maintenance and therefore to the energy efficiency objectives.
