ESG Specialist works closely with analysts.
ESG Specialist is in charge of capturing global trend/issues of ESG and works closely with analysts. Analysts' working with ESG Specialist enabled them to have a view of broad range of engagement topics that are in line with international agendas.
SNAM partakes in Secretariat of Environmental Reporting Platform Development Pilot Program.

By considering ESG factors, we can increase the accuracy of corporates' earnings forecast. Thus, this entails in betterment of portfolio performance.
To prevent the downside risks.
More than twice a year, we hold meetings with all of our analysts' participating in them. There, we discuss corporates' earnings forecast.
Through grasping the sectors' and corporates' risks, we reflect them into companies' earnings forecast. By conducting these processes, we believe that we have accurate corporate analysis.

Based on the ESG scores provided by Sompo Risk Management Inc., Sompo Japan Nipponkoa Asset Management decides the investment universe for some ESG-tilted funds.
SNAM's analysts engage with companies together with personnels in Sompo Risk Management Inc..
Sompo Risk Management Inc. sends questionnaires to SNAM's investee companies on various ESG themes. Specifically for the companies that do not meet our expectations, SNAM's analysts, together with the personnels in Sompo Risk Management Inc., engage with them.
Based upon the request from our client, we set target for the portfolio's greenhouse gases.
For the reporting year, we did not reach the portfolio's greenhouse gas limit.
