In selecting a specialist PE mining investor, during due diligence, we noted that the GP's ESG process did not address health and safety. We asked the GP to develop a policy and criteria on this issue. The GP refused to do so. 
Outcomes

We therefore decided not to invest in the fund

The manager of the fund did not have a policy to address the rights of communities relocated for property development. We requested the manager to develop a policy on this issue.
Outcomes

The manager developed a policy and we were able to invest in the fund.
