Pollen Street has a Sustainable Investing section within its latest fund placement document (PPM). The PPM covers Pollen Street's approach to responsible investing, including:

  • The recognition and importance of the role Pollen Street plays in driving sustainable investing, and the potential to make positive change for both local and national communities. Whilst Pollen Street believes the impact it can have in relation to environmental and governance issues is material, its ability to drive positive social change is where it can make a real and most substantial difference.
  • Embedding ESG within Pollen Street: Pollen Street continually seeks to increase awareness, of the impact it can have, and prominence of, ESG across its business. It is a signatory to the UN Principles of Responsible Investment and seeks to drive continued improvement through the ESG initiatives that it has in place.
  • Pre-investment: the deal teams uses the UN Sustainable Development Goals as a framework to assess how ESG issues will affect a target company prior to making a new investment. This covers areas such as ESG risks, along with areas that the deal team believes Pollen Street can drive to improve performance.
  • Post-investment: Following an investment, each deal is added to the Firm's ongoing portfolio monitoring programme. In each quarterly review, the Investment Committee consider ESG issues and performance over the prior quarter.
