If your organisation does not integrate ESG factors into investment decisions on your internally managed assets, explain why not.
We believe that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to ESG integration, and the means by which and extent to which ESG factors can be incorporated into investment analysis and decision-making will vary depending on the investment strategy adopted and asset classes traded, among other things. We assess and consider the relevance of ESG issues to all asset classes across all investment strategies traded by Aspect, however we acknowledge that there will be instances where it is not possible or desirable to incorporate such factors into the investment process. The assessment of whether ESG integration is appropriate for a given investment strategy rests with the investment teams responsible for those strategies. To date, it has not been deemed appropriate or desirable to integrate ESG factors into any of the existing strategies in which we currently manage client assets.
