The members of these Committees include the Chief Investment Officer, executive directors, investment analysts and Legal and Compliance. Further oversight is provided by the Board of Directors during regular Board meetings.

The responsibility of ensuring that ESG considerations are being addressed within each of the invested companies lies with the respective investment analysts, who are assisted by the Investment Support and quantitative analysts team especially to monitor company newsflow and extraction of relevant ESG data. Analysts are responsible for analysing integrated/annual reports to ensure that adequate disclosure is available for the analyst to get an understanding of the relevant ESG risks and opportunities that impacts their respective companies, for ensuring that proxy voting recommendations are provided in line with the Oasis corporate action guidelines and to initiate engagement with companies after getting approval from the “Corporate Actions Committee”. The underlying principle is to incorporate ESG risks and opportunities within the investment decision making process, to be active owners and to make sure that our clients’ interests are well looked after. Responsible investment is thus incorporated across all levels of the organization.

Our entire investment team is expected to incorporate ESG factors into the investment process. The consideration of ESG factors and Responsible Investing has been at the core of the Oasis investment philosophy since inception. Consequently, in our view, the entire team should be regarded as dedicated responsible investment staff.
