10.2. Indicate the actions your organisation has taken to promote responsible investment independently of collaborative initiatives. Provide a description of your role in contributing to the objectives of the selected action and the typical frequency of your participation/contribution.

Description

          As a Socially Responsible Investor, the firm has been providing training to Independent Financial Advisers on ESG during the quarterly roadshows. In addition, client report backs include a section on ESG.

Description

          Oasis remains at the forefront of the successful application and marketing of a responsible investment philosophy. Oasis has been instrumental in engaging with the highest level of government in South Africa to facilitate the development of responsible investing. Such engagement includes the involvement of the Oasis directors with the National Treasury of South Africa. Furthermore, Oasis has actively engaged with the Financial Regulator of South Africa and Ireland to promote the development of socially responsible investment principles. Oasis has been involved in promoting the understanding of such products to the respective regulators, to ensure that an enabling environment is created to allow socially responsible investment to flourish in the jurisdictions in which the group operates. As a board member of the Association of Savings and Investment South Africa (ASISA), Oasis has continued to make a case for responsible investment and believes that the principles of responsible investment are highly relevant in the current environment.
