Fondita’s investment philosophy is based on stock picking. We have a consistent approach and use the same investment philosophy in all of our 8 equity funds. Fondita Fund Management Company acts responsibly in our business operations and fund management. This means that we, in all our operations, take environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) issues into account. Our policy for responsible investments is available for our customers via our website

Our policy describes our approach to responsible investments. We are convinced that responsible actions and sustainable businesses are connected to long-term value creation which we believe benefits the long-term business performance. The policy describes how we use ESG-data to assess our portfolio holdings' risks and opportunities in relation to ESG-aspects. We use several tools and data for following the companies ESG-scores. The policy also describes the guidelines that are set for the portfolio managers in case of any ESG-related incidents occur in our holding companies. We explain how we may influence the corporate decision-making through corporate governance, even if we are a minority owner <10% of the companies in question.

If a potential conflict of interest in the investment process is discovered we discuss the conflict internally involving fund managers, company management and compliance officer. If neccesary, the portfolio managers have a direct dialogue with the company and try to solve the issue. When necessary we also discuss the issue with the financial supervision authorities of Finland.
