Describe what processes are in place and the outputs or outcomes achieved
The funds investing in financial institutions providing micro- and SME financial services have an ESG impact policy which is an integrated part of the investment strategy and due diligence process. During the ownership period the ESG impact strategy is implemented by board participation, and monitored through reporting and field visits. If a portfolio company is in breach with the impact strategy the issue will be addressed on board and shareholder level, and management will be required to ensure full compliance with agreed policies.
