Lighthouse Infrastructure is an independent and 100% employee owned fund manager. Lighthouse's conflicts of interest policy is consistent with the guidance provided by ASIC in Regulatory Guide 181: Licensing: Managing conflicts of interest.
Consistent with RG 181, Lighthouse uses the following three mechanisms to management conflicts of interest:
- controlling conflicts of interest
- avoiding conflicts of interest; and
- disclosing conflicts of interest.
In addition, each of Lighthouse's managed funds have an investor representative committee (comprising unitholder representatives) and one its roles (among other roles) is to consider and make recommendations relating to investments that involve conflicts of interest.
All staff are trained regularly on all policy requirements including the Conflicts of Interest Policy and are encouraged to discuss any potential areas of conflicts for full transparency.
