INF 05. Incorporating ESG issues when selecting investments

05.1. Indicate if your organisation typically incorporates ESG issues when selecting infrastructure investments.

05.2. Describe your organisation`s approach to incorporating ESG issues in infrastructure investment selection.

Lighthouse Infrastructure is a socially responsible infrastructure investment firm.

We use a positive screening process to identify our investments.  We specifically target investments which assist in meeting the objectives of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

We believe that these assets will deliver superior returns for three key reasons:

Assets which are well aligned to society’s social objectives are less likely to be the subject of adverse regulatory outcomes
This regulatory risk factor and potential volatility is not built into valuation inputs and therefore mispriced currently
Greater demand for these types of assets over the longer term will drive valuations higher.

ESG issues also form part of the risk assessment which is undertaken for all infrastructure assets
