The Investment Committee of Mercy Health holds quarterly meetings with Mercy's Investment Team. These meetings consist of topics such as portfolio performance, mission, governance, and socially responsible investment implementation. The Investment team and Mercy's CFO are present at these meetings as well as Mission Leaders, Sisters of Mercy, and independent directors, and are responsible for overseeing the decision-making process regarding investments within Mercy's socially responsible investment policy. Additionally, the SRI committee has oversight/accountability for guiding the priorities and objectives of RI intiatives and team implementation. The Deputy Chief Investment Officer along with everyone on the team are responsible for the implementation of Mercy's socially responsible investment policy within each asset class. External portfolio managers who adhere to Mercy's negative screening and/or utilize ESG in their process are also responsible for implementation.

          Mercy's Deputy Chief Investment Officer, Elizabeth Jourdan, has been an active participant in the RI space for many years. She frequently participates in ESG panels during and women and diversity inclusion themed panels and seminars throughout the country, sharing Mercy's and learning from peers' best practices. She is also the Founding Board Member of St. Louis Women in Investment Network. Sisters of Mercy, who are part of both the Investment Committee as well as the SRI Committee, also have prior experience with Responsible Investing.
