In order to monitor exposures to the risks of its investments, CNP Assurances has set 4 key indicators:
1/ Reduction of the carbon footprint of the equity portfolio by 47% between 2014 and 2021
2/ Reduction of the carbon footprint of the property portfolio by 40% between 2006 and 2021
3/ Since the end of 2018 CNP Assurances has stopped investing in companies where more than 10% of turnover is linked to thermal coal. To go further, it has also stopped investing in all the companies involved in the development of new coal power plants or new coal mines.
4/ €5bn of new green investments. At the end of August 2019, the target for new green investments was exceeded a year and a half ahead. CNP Assurances announced in November 2019 its target to double its green investment AUM to reach € 20 billion by the end of 2023. At the end of 2019, these green investment AUM amounted to € 14.4 billion.
