SG 07. RI roles and responsibilities

07.1. Indicate the internal and/or external roles used by your organisation, and indicate for each whether they have oversight and/or implementation responsibilities for responsible investment.

07.2. For the roles for which you have RI oversight/accountability or implementation responsibilities, indicate how you execute these responsibilities.

  • Board Members : validate the ESG report and strategy. 
  • CEO & Chairman : as a members of the investment comitee, they validate the investment propositions. They verify that the investment opportunities respect ESG criterions as well as financials.
  • CIO & Portfolio Managers:  analyze the financial and ESG reports,  select investment propositions and present it to the investment comitee. They can also take the decision to reduce or sell positions in companies that face high ESG controversials.
  • RI Staff: analyzes the ESG profiles of the investments. Receive and consolidate ESG measurements of the portfolio. Produces the annual ESG reports.

There is one person dedicated to ESG at UMR.

In addition, most of our assets are managed by investment firms that have dedicated ESG team.
