As part of our due diligence process, we hone in on managers' approach to responsible investment in great detail. Where we see room for improvement we highlight this to the manager; this often relates to a lack of transparency or information not being as readily available as it could be.

Our Head of Equities was interviewed by Portfolio Adviser for a series of "Green dream" interviews which addressed the firm's approach to ESG integration, to be aired online in 2020. In late 2019, she also acted as a judge for the Sustainable & ESG Investment Awards 2019. Finally, one of our partners, based in Geneva, was part of a panel at the Sphere Conference on the topic “The challenges of sustainable investment for private clients”.

Frequency of contribution

Where managers we meet are not signatories of the PRI we have suggested that they become so, particularly in the liquid space. In some cases, we have divested in funds for particular clients who stated a preference for PRI signatories.
