Stanhope is primarily engaged in fund selection. Where we do decide to buy listed equities, in a discretionary capacity, we consider these from an investment perspective and include ESG factors in making a final conclusion on the investment case. Specifically, we consider exposure within a company to vice sectors (e.g. tobacco, thermal coal etc.) and also address controversies and positive ESG-related initiatives within the company.

ESG factors are considered as part of our analysis; we use information from the company and from Sustainalytics. ESG factors are therefore fully integrated in our decision to hold/not hold a stock and the quantity we wish to hold.
