DFNZ invests directly in ownership of dairy farms within New Zealand.

In addition to farms DFNZ also invests in Fonterra shares to meet Fonterra Cooperative milk processing shareholding requirements.

DFNZ employs a CEO, CFO, and part time accounts assistant.  Its farms are managed by Herd Owning Sharemilkers (HOSM) who own the cows and mobile machinery such as tractors and implements required to farm the farms.  The HOSM is also responsible for employing on farm staff.
