With more than 48 years’ experience in the Australian development and construction industry, Mirvac create, own, and manage a diverse portfolio of assets across the office, retail, industrial and residential sectors. Our point of difference is that our integrated business model enables us to bring a range of skills to a development or acquisition opportunity and provides us with an appropriate balance of active and passive income.

Our whole business strategy is built on three key foundations; being integrated, diversified and focused. Mirvac is focused on maximising the benefits of our integrated model and leveraging our competitive advantage in each of the sectors we operate. By maintaining a core capability across these four sectors and applying our skills across design, construction and asset management, Mirvac is able to deliver a competitive advantage and unlock complex urban multi-use opportunities.

Business Strategy

·       Focused: deploying capital with discipline and delivering on our promises, with a strong focus on our customers.

·       Diversified: maintaining an appropriate balance of passive and active invested capital through cycles, and retaining capability across the office and industrial, retail and residential sectors.

·       Integrated: leveraging our integrated model to create, own and manage quality Australian assets.

Our Sustainability Strategy

Launched in 2014 and then refreshed in 2018, This Changes Everything (TCE) is Mirvac’s plan for a sustainable future. It comprises of six interconnected focus areas: climate change, natural resources, social inclusion, our communities, trusted partner and our people. Under each focus area is a long-term target, supported by short-to-medium-term commitments.

In FY19, Mirvac had another great year in terms of its ESG performance. Key highlights included releasing Planet Positive, Mirvac’s plan to be net positive carbon by 2030; more than quadrupling its community investment (off an FY17 baseline); reducing carbon intensity by a further 3.6% and water intensity by a further 2.3%; and achieving high sustainability ratings at its office assets, with the portfolio now boasting four 6 Star Green Star Performance rated buildings, along with three 6 star, two 5.5 star  and seven 5 star NABERS Energy rated buildings, making it one of the greenest portfolios in Australia.
