ESG issues in asset allocation

SG 13. ESG issues in strategic asset allocation

13.1. Indicate whether the organisation carries out scenario analysis and/or modelling, and if it does, provide a description of the scenario analysis (by asset class, sector, strategic asset allocation, etc.).

13.3. Additional information. [OPTIONAL]

We conduct ESG research/assessment in coming up with a short list of potential sub-asset classes (within fixed income), industrial sectors and investment instruments.  We then carry out scenario analysis and/or modelling to determine weights of potential investments for inclusion in our portfolios.  So as such, we do not use scenario analysis to assess future ESG factors or climate-related risks and opportunities.

Instead, we choose ESG and climate-related factors after conducting a qualitative and quantitative study of factors that are prevalent or impact a particular market, industrial sector or set of investment instruments.
