While CPE Capital doesn't set specific ESG targets for our portfolio companies, the companies have their own internal ESG targets / projects and CPE Capital monitors the progress of each. ESG reporting of targets can take a number of forms:
Portfolio Company reporting to CPE Capital
CPE Capital works with its portfolio companies to agree on the appropriate reporting on relevant ESG issues.
A portfolio company’s annual ESG statement to CPE Capital will capture:
Performance against its ESG management plan;
Any changes to material ESG issues and/or changes to its ESG management plan; and
Priorities and areas of focus for the coming year.
The progress against the ESG management plan will be also be monitored by CPE Capital and the Board of the company through regular reporting by management.
CPE Capital’S ESG reporting to Limited Partners
CPE Capital will provide its LPs with periodic updates on the status of ESG management plans of each of their portfolio companies.
Ad hoc LP Engagement
In addition to its periodic reporting, CPE Capital will:
Respond to formal or informal requests for information; and
Update LPs on particular ESG issues affecting funds or portfolio companies.
