PE 09. Proportion of companies monitored on their ESG performance

09.1. Indicate whether your organisation incorporates ESG issues in investment monitoring of portfolio companies.

09.2. Indicate the proportion of portfolio companies where your organisation included ESG performance in investment monitoring during the reporting year.

While CPE Capital doesn't set specific ESG targets for our portfolio companies, the companies have their own internal ESG targets / projects and CPE Capital monitors the progress of each. ESG reporting of targets can take a number of forms:

 

Portfolio Company reporting to CPE Capital

CPE Capital works with its portfolio companies to agree on the appropriate reporting on relevant ESG issues.

Annual Reporting

A portfolio company’s annual ESG statement to CPE Capital will capture:

Performance against its ESG management plan;
Any changes to material ESG issues and/or changes to its ESG management plan; and
Priorities and areas of focus for the coming year.

Quarterly Reporting

The progress against the ESG management plan will be also be monitored by CPE Capital and the Board of the company through regular reporting by management.  

CPE Capital’S ESG reporting to Limited Partners

CPE Capital will provide its LPs with periodic updates on the status of ESG management plans of each of their portfolio companies.

Ad hoc LP Engagement

In addition to its periodic reporting, CPE Capital will:

Respond to formal or informal requests for information; and
Update LPs on particular ESG issues affecting funds or portfolio companies.


PE 10. Proportion of portfolio companies with sustainability policy

10.1. Indicate if your organisation tracks the proportion of your portfolio companies that have an ESG/sustainability-related policy (or similar guidelines).

10.2. Indicate what percentage of your portfolio companies has an ESG/sustainability policy (or similar guidelines).
