Select from the below internal roles

          Managing Director, Manager Research

07.2. For the roles for which you have RI oversight/accountability or implementation responsibilities, indicate how you execute these responsibilities.

Our ESG statement aligns our responsible investing activities with our corporate governance and oversight processes. By integrating ESG into our core manager research approach, the department's Managing Director oversees the department's implementation of sustainability research. The ongoing monitoring and diligence of external managers by manager research, portfolio managers and investment analysts ensures that expectations for ESG are met and, where ESG is part of the mandate, are implemented appropriately. By building sustainability and climate risk into our operational and vendor due diligence and risk management processes our Chief Risk Officer ensures compliance with our expectations and requirements. These factors are reported to the Board of Directors periodically, who provide oversight and feedback on our approach and the ongoing development of our strategy.

07.3. Indicate the number of dedicated responsible investment staff your organisation has.

1 Number

07.4. Additional information. [Optional]

Taking the literally definition of SG 07.3, we have one employee whose sole responsibility is ESG. However, throughout our organization we have many employees that are involved in incorporating responsible investing throughout our offerings.

At the corporate level, ESG is a key thread throughout SEI which is brought together through the Sustainable Investing Committee. The objective of the committee is to coordinate and promote our sustainability efforts across SEI globally. The committee has a diverse make-up of over 50 employees spread across business units and geographies. The committee shares the trending topics of meeting with the senior management of the company.

Specific to investment management, ESG investing is incorporated throughout our process, from working with our clients to develop their Statement of Investment Policy (SIP) and asset allocation, to evaluating managers, and developing new investment strategies.

Our investment management team is responsible for the investment implementation of our solution and is comprised of over 100 professionals with direct experience managing assets as active decision-makers, including executing trades and assessing risk parameters. They are experts at navigating capital markets and incorporating an ongoing active point of view. Our Portfolio Managers have an average of 24 years of experience.
