We believe that responsible investment must be integrated into everything that Gresham House does, and therefore we ensure that each member of our organisation has tasks embedded in their role and remit which cumulatively drive towards our corporate sustainability ambitions. As such, these form part of all employee end of year appraisal process.
We have established a Sustainable Investing Committee with carefully selected representation from each GH Business Strategy to act as sustainability ambassadors and provide a mouthpiece for team members.
We are also planning to recruit a Head of Sustainability in the short-term, who will act as a coordinator across the whole Gresham House business, working with all our staff to drive forward our sustainable investment aspirations proactively including meeting the commitments set out in our Sustainable Investing Policies.
As mentioned, post-investment, we seek to drive positive change within our portfolio business from the outset. Depending on our shareholding, we influence change in a number of different ways including:
- Attendance at Board meetings as either a Non-Executive Director or Board Observer
- Regular interaction with the management team outside of the Board environment to discuss key strategic opportunities and risks, including relevant ESG topics.
