We see stewardship as an important means by which to provide feedback to companies. We engaged companies to communicate concerns, and to undertake more complete due diligence ahead of exercising our vote.

Whilst we do not make public the reasons for abstaining or voting against management recommendations, we do make those reasons available to our clients upon request.

We also sometimes share our opinion with other shareholders and encourage them to engage with the company separately so as to reinforce our view. However, we do not assert our influence on our peers in order to avoid any perception of acting in concert.
