Partners Group considers ESG issues in many ways post-investment. For example, we work to ensure health and safety standards are met during construction or renovation, engage with tenants to increase affordability and accessibility, and make technological upgrades to improve energy efficiency. These initiatives are included in our annual ESG value creation plans and are tracked against specific targets we set to understand the evolution of each individual project.

In addition, in 2019 we identified an energy management and data collection services provider called Engie, that we would like to implement across our direct lead property investments. We will roll out Engie to our actively managed portfolio in 2020. This will help to streamline data collection and more easily identify properties where we can reduce consumption.

In addition, some of our property managers are experienced and well-established in the real estate industry with long property management track records. They are also members of international and local standard-setting organizations. For example, PG works with property managers in Australia that regularly complete GRESB assessment for their portfolio.
