Engagement efforts and campaigns are collaborative throughout the investment team. Engagement responsibilities are shared across the CIO, Ethics and Impact Manager and Head of Equities, dependant on the market / sector and where the necessary expertise lies. Engagement efforts, both individual and collaborative, are a standing item in the quarterly U Ethical Investment Committee meeting, the Committee monitors and discusses the progress of ongoing engagements. This collaborative approach allows the progress and outcomes engagements to be incorporated in to the investment decisions and analysis.
U Ethical also collaborate on an ongoing basis with the Senior Social Justice Advocate of the equipping Leadership for Mission Unit, Uniting Church of Australia. This provides us with timely, on the ground information of various targeting campaigns the Uniting Church have ongoing with listed companies. This also allows U Ethical to provide meaningful input to collaborative engagements with the wider investment industry.
