U Ethical is an active member of Responsible Investment Association of Australia, of which ESG Research Australia is a sub-working Group with the aim to improve ESG Research. Each year U Ethical cast votes for and attend the ESG Research awards.

U Ethical are an active member of RIAA. U Ethical participates in numerous working groups facilitated by RIAA: The Corporate Engagement Working Group (CEWG), the RIAA Human Rights Working Group (HRWG), and the RIAA Impact and Measurement Community of Practice (IMMCOP). 

U Ethical are active voting members at RIAA's annual AGM. This year, our Ethics and Impact Manager was a nominated speaker on a panel discussing Impact Measurement: the differences across asset classes. U Ethical is also a regular sponsor of the RIAA conference, held every two years.

The Uniting Church in Australia, Synod of Victoria and Tasmania Justice and International Mission unit is an active participant. An expert from this unit also sits on the U Ethical Ethical Advisory Panel.

          Recent publication of the U Ethical White Paper on Responsible Investment. Numerous thought pieces discussing topical ethical issues. 

In Q3 2019, U Ethical held an investor briefing at which both the Chief Investment Officer, and Ethics and Impact Manager presented on various topical ethical investing topics. 

The U Ethical quarterly newsletter contains information on engagement, voting and topical ethical issues over the quarter.

          Recent university collaboration, with the University of New South Wales Business Scool, assisting with coursework for a new social responsible investing course. U Ethical provided two case studies. The aim of the course is to allow students to assess, and provide solutions for, ethical dilemmas faced by responsible investors.

          U Ethical Board and Investment Committee Member Zarmeen Pavri brings to the firm over 24 years' experience in the funds management, impact investing and international development sectors. Zarmeen's multidimensional background ranges from strategy development, investment, and risk management through to institutional sales and business development. Zarmeen is a Specialist Social Impact Investment Technical Advisor for the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and serves on various advisory boards of impact enterprises. 

Zarmeen is an Australian chartered accountant and has a Bachelor of Commerce (sub-major Law) degree from Western Sydney University.
