In Austria employees and self-employed persons are obliged to participate in the system of company pension funds for employees and self-employed persons (betriebliche Mitarbeiter- und Selbständigenvorsorge). All employees, whose employment contract started on 1 January 2003 or later as well as self-employed persons (since 1 January 2008) receive contributions in the system.

It is guaranteed by law that everybody receives the entire amount paid in (capital guarantee) as soon as a claim option exists.

The contributions to the company pension fund are held on trust by Niederösterreichische Vorsorgekasse AG. Our main task is to invest the pension contributions in a secure und profitable way. This means an important responsibility. Therefore, Niederösterreichische Vorsorgekasse AG acts upon economic, ecological and social principles.
