          Eierforum (Ownership Forum) of Norway. Consists of the largest institutional investors in Norway, and has a representative on the Norwegian Corporate Governance Board (NUES).

          The Norwegian Society of Financial Analysts (NFF) and Norwegian Corporate Governance Board (NUES)

 The society’s purpose is:

  • To contribute to public understanding of the function and importance of the capital market in the Norwegian economy
  • To contribute to the efficient functioning of the capital market within appropriate operating parameters
  • To contribute to the provision of high quality financial analysis and to promote the proper treatment of information from issuers of public securities
  • To contribute to the maintenance of high ethical standards in financial analysis, asset management, advisory services and trading in financial instruments

The NFF representative to the Norwegian Corporate Governance Board (NUES) is the general counsel at Folketrygdfondet. NUES issues the recommendation on corporate governance for companies listed in Norway.

Folketrygdfondet is also represented in the following committees:

  • Equity committee
  • Committee for awarding the Stockman prize for corporate reporting
  • Fixed income committee
  • Women in front finance
  • Portfolio committee
  • Committee for developing the NFF course in sustainable finance

Description

          In 2019, Folketrygdfondet held guest lectures on responsible investment at two Norwegian universities.

          Folketrygdfondet held multiple presentations on responsible investment in 2019 at events and conferences in Norway.

          Folketrygdfondet published a comment letter regarding new EU regulation for corporate takeovers and on the white paper on climate risk in the Norwegian economy.

          Folketrygdfondet published an op-ed column in Norwegian media on responsible fixed income investment and one on board composition.

Folketrygdfondet submitted two comment letters to governments/regulatory authorities in 2019. These concerned proposed changes related to the incorporation of EU legislation relating to corporate takeovers and on the Norwegian government white paper on climate risk.
