Omnes engages fully with its investee companies, and believes that concerted efforts help to build strong partnerships.
A key part of the investment process
ESG criteria form an integral part of the due diligence carried out during the analysis process that precedes any decision to invest. We take them into account at the outset by carrying out a comprehensive analysis of all potential ESG risks.
After making the decision to invest, we draw up a roadmap with the existing management team to formalise an action plan that aims to enhance the investee company's ESG performance.
Each shareholder agreement also includes an ESG clause that sets out our values and our ESG commitment.
Monitoring ESG criteria throughout the holding period...
We use our influence as a shareholder to promote ESG issues actively among our investee companies, to share best practice and thereby to improve companies' ESG performance.
Our active management also involves annual monitoring, with each investee company submitting a report.
Throughout our holding period, we raise awareness among investee companies by discussing with them the ESG risks we have identified, and by working on action plans intended to achieve continuous improvement in their ESG scores.
... until divestment
We assess progress made on ESG criteria, performing an overall analysis of results recorded during the holding period and their potential impact on value creation.
In addition, vendor due diligence is carried out by an independent third party and provided to potential buyers.
Finally, as a responsible investor, we ensure that the buyer meets market ESG standards and offers the company potential in that area.
