Selection, appointment and monitoring of third-party infrastructure operators

INF 10. ESG issues in selection, appointment and monitoring of third-party operators

10.1. Indicate if your organisation includes ESG issues in your selection, appointment and/or monitoring of third-party operators.

10.2. Indicate your organisation includes ESG issues in your selection, appointment and/or monitoring of third-party operators.

10.3. Provide a brief description of your organisation’s selection, appointment and monitoring of third-party operators. [Optional]

The majority of the management of our portfolio resides with executive management teams, boards of directors and the investment principals on our internal teams and not with third-party operators. When third party operators are contracted, ESG issues are set forth both in the contract as well as reflected in our day to day interactions with the contractor. ESG matters include, as appropriate, health & safety approach and track record, environmental capabilities, permits and compliance, risk mitigation/monitoring/reporting, supply chain management, corruption and contracting governance/control rights. Operators are monitored for compliance and required to provide reporting on material matters.

10.4. Describe how your third-party operators contribute to the management of ESG issues for your infrastructure investments. [Optional]

Our operators are tasked with ensuring our investors’ ESG objective are met, both contractually and through day-to-day interactions. In addition, we learn new approaches to ESG management from our operators which we then leverage across our portfolio.
