The primary areas where we have engaged with public policy makers has been in the countries where our portfolio companies are based, Ethiopia, Uganda, Egypt, Nigeria and Ghana. We have had particular focus in Uganda on emerging issues to our businesses including IFRS, Avian Flu and corproate governance. 

The Fund has supported the engagement with Ethiopian authorities to improve the dialogue between the private and public sector vis a vis wages and social expectations in rural ethiopia.
