Glenmede's Sustainable and Impact Investing team is a group of 10 individuals, split across dedicated strategists as well as specialists.  Mark Hays was hired in November 2019 as the Director of Sustainable & Impact Investing to build out our strategy and capabilities around space further.  Mark reports directly to CIO Jason Pride, which indicates the senior level of organizational support and presence of the team. Julia Enyart as a senior level Officer and Essma Bengabsia as a Senior Associate also serve as dedicated strategists.  This team can be thought of as a centralized resource across the firm. In addition to the strategists, we formalized a structure around 7 specialists, including newly appointed individuals dedicated to this effort.  This team of 10 can be thought of as the overarching, dedicated ecosystem of individuals driving this initiative across the firm.  In addition to this ecosystem, the Sustainable and Impact Investing team relies on the monthly insights and guidance of the 25 member Guiding Coalition (which includes 50% of our overarching Firm Management Committee, including CEO Gordon Fowler,  to gain consensus and senior level insight on key decisions on impact operations and service offering.  The team is also supported by a Best Practices Group composed of over 30 impact experts. In 2020, the core team will also be supported by a Client Services Working Group, headed by key business development officers and relationship managers.
Further,  within GIM, the Quantitative Portfolio Managers, Val de Vassal, CFA, Paul Sullivan, CFA, and Alex Atanasiu, CFA are responsible for ESG aspects of our investment processes. They are supported by Quantitative Analysts, David Marcucci, Jacob Adamcik, and Ruohao Chen.
