More staff became trained in the PRI and PRI principles are being utilized in the Firm's governance and investment process. Firm's representatives spoke on PRI's conferences and panels, and joining and reporting to PRI is actively promoted to underlying investment managers.
We report to CDP through our parent company, CBRE, that is a signatory.
The Firm is a member of the Global Impact Investing Network ("GIIN") and GIIN principles and IRIS+ indicators have been used in the development of the impact investment thesis for our Affordable Housing Fund and for a new European Residential Impact fund being launched in 2020. Firm's representatives actively participated in GIIN workshops and workgroups focusing on impact measurement and green buildings.
The Firm is an active participant in GRESB. CBRE Global Investors and/or CBRE staff members representing the Firm are on the Real Estate Advisory Board, Asia, Americas and Australia Benchmark Committees, as well as on ESG data quality technical working group.
The Firm is a member and is a signatory to The Investor Agenda. A dedicated ESG professional attended the annual conference in London.
CBRE Global Investors is an Influencer member of the Pensions for Purpose initiative, co-hosted a workshop with IPF in our offices entitled "LGPS Responsible Investment in ESG, Climate Change and Beyond," attended annual conferences, and actively participated as speakers on LGPS panels.
We are active members/participants of the UNEP FI Property Working Group and contributed to the "Changing Course: Real Estate" publication (TCFD pilot project report and investor guide to scenario-based climate risk assessment in Real Estate Portfolios). Firm representatives actively participated in calls, training sessions and their conference in 2019.
The Firm's parent company is a signatory and in conjunction with CBRE, we report our ESG activities on an annual basis in accordance with Global Compact principles.
Better Buildings Partnership
We are active members/participants of the Better Buildings Partnership. In collaboration with BBP, the Firm published a knowledge sharing case study on portfolio-level ESG strategy setting "CBRE Global Investors Launches Exemplar UK ESG Programme." Firm representatives actively participated in calls, workshops, meetings and training sessions.
ULI Sustainability Council - EMEA
We are active members/participants of the ULI, and the Global Head of ESG sits on the ULI Sustainability Council, actively participating in its workstreams.
INREV Sustainability Committee
CBRE is a member of the committee and we participate through them. Our public and investor ESG reports are fully aligned with INREV reporting standards.
Global Reporting Initiative
CBRE's annual Corporate Responsibility Report and CBRE GI ESG reports, in which we report our ESG/responsible investment accomplishments for the year, are prepared utilizing GRI standards focusing on material economic, environmental, social or governance topics.
Workshops are provided to educate and train investment teams, asset and property managers, clients and consultants on ESG, as well as including ESG training as part of the onboarding process and analyst/new graduate training programmes.
Provided financial, mentoring and data support for Masters study into the impact of ESG on investment performance at the University of Amsterdam.
Participated in UNEP FI Property Work Group and Coalition for Climate Resilient Investments (CCRI) working streams on climate change. Provided financial, mentoring and data support for Masters study into the impact of ESG on investment performance at the University of Amsterdam.
Published two case studies on climate change risks and opportunities scenario analysis and portfolio-level ESG strategy setting in collaboration with UNEP FI and BBP respectively. Participated in GIIN workgroups on impact investment measurement. Engaged with companies and investment managers to encourage reporting to PRI and GRESB.
Firm's representatives presented and/or spoke on panels for PRI, IPF, LGPS, ULI, INREV, Impact Investing Institute, events and conferences on a range of RI subjects from climate change to impact investment.
Participated in scenario analysis pilot testing and publication of “Changing course: Real estate”, a TCFD pilot project report and investor guide to scenario-based climate risk assessment in real estate portfolios. Our Europe, Asia Pacific and Americas Watch research paper series cover ESG topics among others.
We encourage all our partners, managers and investment companies to adopt PRI in regular annual communications and focused engagement meetings.

A professional who works on the Firm's UK Affordable Housing Fund and UK core fund is an active member of the committee.
The Firm participates in CBRE Green Week and sponsors Earth Day events at many of it properties.
