SG 07. RI roles and responsibilities

07.1. Indicate the internal and/or external roles used by your organisation, and indicate for each whether they have oversight and/or implementation responsibilities for responsible investment.

The Board of Directors'  is responsible of  all aspects of the Responsible activies:

  • periodical review of the Engagement Policy and Esclusion Poliocy
  • allignment of the engagement activity with the Cometa Engagement policy
  • outcomes of the annual ESG portfolio analysis 
  • outcomes of the annual Carbon Footprint
  • dialogue with engaged companies
  • dialogue with External asset managers on ESG material drivers.

All the Board components have access to the Database where the public engagement discussions are logged and stored.

Nobody of the internal staff allocate the majority of thier working time to responsible investment . All the activities are carried out with the support of an ESG external provider.


SG 07 CC. Climate-issues roles and responsibilities

07.5 CC. Indicate the roles in the organisation that have oversight, accountability and/or management responsibilities for climate-related issues.

07.6 CC. For board-level roles that have climate-related issue oversight/accountability or implementation responsibilities, indicate how these responsibilities are executed.

Cometa is a signatories of the Montreal Pledge and dicloses publicly the Carbon footprint outcomes.  No specific guidance is given to address the investment decisions.

The Boards is informed about the results of this climate-related issue, minitoring on an annual basis the CO2 emissions of the investment. This is a long term trend that Cometa acts and briefs on and in the next future some iniziatives on portfolio may be implemented for the transition to a low carbon economy.

Cometa Investment Committee and the CEO annually discuss the outcomes of the Carbon Footprint carried out by an external ESG provider.  Some engagement activities could start on some climate-related issues, based on the CF results.

          The Chief-level staff has deep expertise in ESG factors, being involved with responsible investment since many years. The Board members are periodically trained and updated on sustainability topics.
