INF 05. Incorporating ESG issues when selecting investments

05.1. Indicate if your organisation typically incorporates ESG issues when selecting infrastructure investments.

05.2. Describe your organisation`s approach to incorporating ESG issues in infrastructure investment selection.

All investment opportunities are reviewed for ESG requirements and the absence of any controversial ESG features. They are also screened to ensure full engagement with local stakeholders and authorities to ensure the sustainability of the investment. As negotiations progress, the initial review of ESG matters is further reviewed and any areas requiring more detailed assessment are followed-up on, with the investment only progressing if the results are satisfactory.

The ESG analysis is continually reviewed and updated throughout the period of the investment, with all findings monitored to ensure there are no issues arising. Both the Italian and Spanish Construction Partners produce annual ESG reports highlighting the certificates, approaches and any awards received during the year.
