Every year, we prepare a list of different areas where we would like to continue enhancing the impact of ESG in our organization, products and clients.
Given that the Board of Directors has approved the new strategic plan where ESG is one of the four pillars, the follow-up will be every three months by the top management about the evolution of the different areas where we are working: increasing the percentage of AuM with ESG integration, increasing the number of funds with ESG labelling, follow-up on the progress in ESG education of the workforce, state of the progress of advisory ESG services we might be giving to institutional clients so that they can have a 100% portfolio with ESG funds, check the public-private collaboration initiatives in fostering ESG world at Spanish level.
Apart from the top management, the independent ESG Committee we have created monitors on a three-month basis the evolution of the ESG funds, the controversy management, non-financial reporting improvements, performance attribution, etc. and it will be a great source of ideas for new ESG products.
To sum up, in 2019 we have given significant steps forward in order to increase the pace of ESG in our products and in our clients´ portfolios, and above all, in the culture of the whole company. And those steps have been both at top management level and at operational level.
