We encourage our outside managers to become a PRI signatory and our office also reviews research provided by PRI.
We encourage companies in which we invest to particpate in the CDP questionaire and consider TCFD reporting requirements.
CRPTF is a member of the Climate Action 100+ and co-leads engagement with two companies identified by the Climate Action 100+. We also participate on Climate Action 100+ Global Review webinars as a signatory and provide report/updates for companies where our office is a co-lead.
We are active participants with the Council of Institutional Investors' Corporate Goverance Shareholder Activism Committee. We also review and sign-on to SEC letters.
We participate on bi-weekly CERES Policy calls and monthly INCR calls. INCR researches companies lacking climate change reporting and presents a company target list to their members. CRPTF participates by reviewing target companies held in our portfolio and considers filing shareholder resolutions.
CRPTF managers are required to submit an annual ESG questionnaire which emphasizes the PRI principles.
The goal of the Treasury's corporate governance program is to protect and enhance the long-term value of investments by the Connecticut Retirement Plans and Trust Funds (CRPTF).
