Board level roles have oversight on our carbon  key performance indicators, ie carbon footprint of our equity portfolio.

Management level roles are given updated carbon footprint  and they take decisions to reach the target carbon footprint level.

In 2019, the Board members of VBV-Vorsorgekasse AG, i.e. the CEO, the CIO and the CRO,  attended a one day seminar on climate change and climate risk management with leading Austrian scientists from the Wegener Center for Climate and Global Change, University of Graz. The seminar has been organized by VBV with the aim to get a good understanding of the latest scientific findings on climate change and its economic impacts, which could also have an influence on VBV´s investment strategy. The seminar was not only attended by the internal Board members but also by members of the asset management and risk management department of VBV-Vorsorgekasse AG.
