Goodwell is founded on the priciple belief that inclusive growth contributes to long-term sustainable development, and therefore expanding this can best be achieved by developing and scaling up local businesses that improve financial inclusion for families and micro and small businesses or provide access to better quality, more affordable basic goods and services or to livelihoods and income generation opportunities for low income segments and emerging middle class.

Based on that, Goodwell invests in the sectors where low-income households and emerging consumers spend most of their income and/or time, where there are the best opportunities for improving incomes and creating livelihoods. These include financial inclusion, agribusiness, mobility, energy and improving access to affordable solutions in health care, education, housing, water and sanitation.

ESG factors are include in the investment process, management and exit of of a portfolio company.
