Formuepleje’s Investment Committee discusses all investment decisions (at a high level) at a Committee meeting every two weeks. Moreover, the Committee evaluates the effect of Formuepleje’s Policy of Responsible Investments twice a year – approved annually by the Board – and whether our collaborators comply with this policy. The Investment Committee is headed by the CIO of the Group and consists of, among others, the Head of Investment Fund Administration, the CEO and the Head of Strategy and Macro-analysis. Responsible investment considerations, that may arise e.g. during the investment analysis, are addressed by the Investment Committee.
Formuepleje's ESG Comittee has the daily responsibility for ESG issues. The Committee meets on a quarterly basis at a minimum to discuss the results from the norms-based screening. Every case is discussed and evaluated, and any concerns are forwarded with recommendations to the Investment Comittee. The ESG Committee is led by our Head of Middle Office, closely working togther with a Quantitative Analyst, and recieves feedback and inputs from our Head of Equitites and one of our Credit Portfolio Manager. The Comittee also discusses future possible process and development of incorporating ESG within Formuepleje. Formueplejes ESG Committee is responsible for the annual reporting to PRI and reports to the Investment Committee with RI matters. Furthermore, they are supervising the implementation of Formuepleje's RI Policy and collaborations with service providers.
External managers are assigned the responsibility of engagement and incorporating ESG in their investment process. External mangers are thereby required to engage and report back any RI or ESG-related findings. Our Head of Equity meets quarterly with the external managers, where the recent quarter’s return and risk elements are evaluated and discussed. ESG/RI is a natural part of the external manager’s report both in terms of generating a healthy return but more importantly in generating an adequate risk profile.
