We apply same ESG tools and procedures for corporate bonds as to equities. We see that screening and integration are the most feasible incorporation strategy in fixed income investments.

10.1. Describe your approach to integrating ESG into traditional financial analysis.

We have our own internal ESG data base, which is based on MSCI's ESG data. With the internal ESG data base, each portfolio manager can easily take into account material ESG factors in his/her own investment strategy. The internal data base includes e.g. companies' ESG ratings, the revenue share coming from certain activities (e.g. tobacco, gambling, alcohol, weapons), and the information whether the company has been involved in controversies. If the company is involved in controversies, there is always short summary on the case, and longer report is available in the separate system.
