The Alexander Forbes Investments Limited business is predominantly a fund of fund business. 97% of the business assets are managed actively through asset managers that we have selected. 3% of the assets are managed passively. This has historically been managed externally, but is now being managed internally. (Since the last quarter of 2018).

The business is registered as a South African entity, which is emerging market in nature hence the bulk of our assets are managed locally. The pension fund regulation (Reg 28) stipulates that a maximum of 30% of assets may be externalised. I have stipulated accordingly that a maximum of 30% would therefore be in developed markets.
