SG 07. RI roles and responsibilities

07.1. Indicate the internal and/or external roles used by your organisation, and indicate for each whether they have oversight and/or implementation responsibilities for responsible investment.

07.2. For the roles for which you have RI oversight/accountability or implementation responsibilities, indicate how you execute these responsibilities.

There is a standing agenda item at the quarterly Invesment Committee meeting which deals with investment manager voting and corporate governance matters and also the results of ESG scoring of listed equity and bond holdings to identify those companies with the lowest scores and highest carbon emissions for follow up discussion with the external investment manager whose responses are considered by the Trustees. The matters covered by the Investment Committee are in turn reviewed by the full Trustee board at their quarterly meetings.

There are staff members whose responsibilities include ESG, but this does not amount to the majority of their time either individually or collectively.
