SG 17. ESG issues for externally managed assets not reported in framework

17.1. Describe how you address ESG issues for externally managed assets for which a specific PRI asset class module has yet to be developed or for which you are not required to report because your assets are below the minimum threshold.

Describe what processes are in place and the outputs or outcomes achieved

Infrastructure

ESG related issues are incorporated in the assessment of the Fund´s investments in infrastructure. Infrastructure is often both risk and opportunities, especially in a life cycle perspective. The ambition is to create awareness and to be able to estimate the risks at different stages of the investment and the exposure at the time.

AP3s investment are in water treatment and recycling.

AP3 also has investments in listed infrastructure funds.

 

Forestry

Almost 100% of AP3s Timberland holdings are FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) standard.

The carbon footprint/carbon storage is analysed on a yearly basis an external third party

  • Tons of carbon (tCO2e) stored
  • Annually captured tCO2e
  • Net reduction of tCO2e via harvesting
  • Net annual capture of tCO2e:
  • Certified forest area: 98.07% (half dually certified, more in process for  certification)

GRESB use in selection and monitoring/reporting
